Ryan Ruge was born and raised in Southern California and is a recent graduate from the prestigious College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati where he earned his BFA in Musical Theater. Ryan recently played Troy in High School Musical and Leon Czolgosz in Assassins which are both great examples of Ryan’s diverse talent as an Actor, Singer, Dancer. Although he is a classically trained Baritione, Ryan has proven he can handle pop tenor roles with his lead in High School Musical, and this diversity is seen in his acting ability as well. While at CCM, some of Ryan’s other credits include Max in the Pajama Game; Lt. Torrasso in Passion; and Gus in The Cradle Will Rock. Ryan has appeared in a variety of Regional Theatrical Productions, such as Mame (alongside Amanda McBroom); Annie Get Your Gun (with Kathryn McPhee); Ragtime (with Eric Anderson) and Camelot. He delighted audiences with his tender portrayal of the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz and played Coupeau in The Scarlet Pimpernel.
Ryan’s intensive conservatory training, his beautiful voice, and his passion for acting are apparent when you see him on or off the stage. Ryan currently resides in New York City.
